My bokashi bucket lid broke at the worst possible time last month
Ngl, I was in the middle of layering in some veggie scraps when the lid hinge just snapped clean off. Happened around 9pm on a Tuesday in my tiny SF apartment. I had to rig it with duct tape and a bungee cord until the replacement part came in on Friday. Has anyone else had their bin hardware fail like that?

Why would you even repair a bokashi bucket? Those things are overpriced plastic junk. I just use a regular 5-gallon bucket with a screw-on lid from Home Depot. Cost me $8. Zero hinge problems because there's no hinge. Plus I can spray paint it to look nice.

That Home Depot bucket trick works until you try drilling a spigot into it. Last year I spent an afternoon making a DIY irrigation setup with one of those buckets. Drilled the hole perfectly, screwed in the spigot, then realized I forgot to put the spigot washer on the inside. Had to drain the whole thing and start over. My neighbor saw me messing with it and came over to tell me his brother just uses old pickle buckets from the deli. Those things are practically free and already have a lid that seals tight.
