My bokashi bin sprouted mold this morning

Walked into my kitchen and saw green fuzz on top of the kitchen scraps. Had to scrape it all out and start over, but at least the bucket itself can be cleaned and reused. Anyone else have this happen with their indoor setup?

Hang on, is a little green fuzz really that big of a deal? I've had mold show up before and just stirred it into the pile. The whole point of bokashi is that it's an anaerobic process, so a little surface mold isn't going to ruin everything unless it's black or smells totally rancid. I'd say just scrape the top layer off and keep going, you don't have to toss the whole batch over a bit of fuzz. Seems like a lot of work to start from scratch.
