A soggy mess in my kitchen taught me about compost moisture
Excess moisture made my compost smelly and buggy. Now I balance it with dry materials like torn egg cartons.

Balancing with dry materials really helped me too. I had a smelly bin until I mixed in dry leaves from my yard. Do you mix in browns as you add kitchen scraps or all at once?
