Talking to a clock repair guy made me stop tossing old timepieces
I was about to pitch this rusty 1950s mantel clock I got for $12 at a barn sale in Ohio, then the repair guy at the mall kiosk said the movement was still good and worth more than the case. He spent 5 minutes showing me how to clean it with lighter fluid and now I'm looking at every broken clock differently. Has anyone else had a specialist change how they see a 'junk' find?
