Picked up a 1940s meat grinder and it clogged worse than my modern one
Found this cast iron grinder at a flea market outside Dayton for $25. Thought it would be a beast for making burger mix. Got it home, cleaned it up, and threw in some brisket chunks. That thing jammed up worse than my $40 electric one. The threading on the auger is worn and the blades don't seat right. Spent 2 hours taking it apart and filing the edges. Still won't feed worth a damn. Anyone else had luck restoring these old grinders or is it just a wall decoration now?
