I finally stopped hating on reproduction furniture after a chat at the Brass Lantern
Had a long talk with the owner of the Brass Lantern in Elkhart last Saturday. He pointed out that my 1960s walnut dresser I snagged for $60 was actually a factory copy of an 1800s design, and honestly it got me thinking. I used to roll my eyes at anything marked 'reproduction', but he showed me the joinery and finish work, and some of it is just as solid as the originals. Anyone else changed their mind about a category they swore they'd never collect?
