That 1908 map of Denver got me doubting every railroad atlas I own

I was cross-checking a 1908 plat map of Denver against a 1923 atlas from the same city hall archive. The older map shows a whole rail spur cutting through what is now a residential block near Sloan's Lake. The 1923 version just wipes it out like it never existed. Turns out the spur was built for a sugar beet factory that operated for only 11 years before being torn down. How many other phantom lines are hiding in these old maps that just got erased quietly? Anyone else run into a ghost feature like this?
