Old atlas showed a town that never existed, guess who was right
Picked up an 1850s atlas of Ohio at an estate sale and it listed a place called Lockhaven near the Cuyahoga. Checked county records and no Lockhaven ever had a post office or plat. These old maps got creative with railroad stops that never got built, so I stopped trusting them as gospel for genealogy. Anyone else find a phantom town on an old map and dig into the truth?
