I finally gave up on tracing paper for old county maps and switched to clear contact paper
I used to lay tracing paper over my 1873 atlas pages to copy weird borders and it always slid around and smeared. Last Tuesday I tried sticking clear contact paper right on a cheap print of an 1890 Kansas plat map, and the lines came out way cleaner. Has anyone else tried this on maps they can't afford to mess up, or am I about to ruin something?
