Had to choose between a 1747 map and a 1776 one at an estate sale last month

I picked the 1776 map because it showed the colonies just before the Revolution with hand-drawn corrections to borders, and it turned out those corrections matched a treaty that was never officially signed - has anyone else found weird historical mistakes like that on old maps?
