Honestly I should have looked closer at the paper. It felt way too stiff and white for something that old, and the ink had that flat offset print look. The seller swore up and down it came from a captain's trunk, but when I got home I found the same image on a vintage menu site for a seafood place in Baltimore that closed in 1982. Ngl I laughed at myself for a solid ten minutes. So yeah, $65 gone, but at least the frame was decent. Anyone else got burned by a reprint dressed up as an antique, and how do you spot the fakes now?
