Went to that anime panel at MomoCon and nobody was actually talking about anime

Last Saturday I sat through a 45 minute panel called "The Philosophy of Mecha" and the host spent 20 minutes complaining about how modern anime streaming sites are hard to use. He showed three clips from Gundam but never explained why any of them mattered philosophically. I figured a convention panel would be the best place to actually discuss anime but this felt like a tech support rant. Has anyone else sat through a panel that completely missed the point of its own topic?

Tbh that sounds like a classic case of someone picking a fancy panel title to talk about whatever they wanted. Panel topics at cons are more like suggestions than promises half the time.
