Watched 3 episodes of 'Mushishi' in a row and realized how much anime relies on constant chatter

I went to that little tea shop in my town called Zen Leaf last weekend and put it on their screen. The quiet scenes with Ginko just existing made me notice how most shows never let a moment breathe. Has anyone else tried switching to slower paced anime and felt like it changed how you watch everything else?

Big same. I binged Mushishi last winter and after that I tried to watch some popular action anime and just couldn't do it. The constant yelling and explaining everything got on my nerves so bad. Now I mostly watch stuff like Natsume's Book of Friends or Yuru Camp where people just exist in scenes without filling every second with noise. It really does reset your brain for what good pacing looks like.

That quiet stuff hits different after you've lived enough real life noise.
