Vent: How I used to binge anime without actually watching it
Back in 2020, I'd throw on shows while scrolling my phone and call it "watching." I plowed through 80 episodes of One Piece in a week but couldn't name a single side character. Now I put my phone in the other room and actually follow the story beats and animation details. Does anyone else find they enjoy anime way more when they force themselves to focus?

You mention putting your phone in another room to focus, but I actually enjoy anime more when I do other things at the same time. My attention span isn't great, and letting my hands do something simple while the show plays helps me sit through slower episodes without getting bored. To each their own, but I think the multitasking approach works fine for certain shows that don't demand full focus.

Haha wait, 80 episodes of One Piece in a week? That's literally 12 episodes a day, that's insane man. Your brain must have been absolute mush by day three lol. I can't even keep up with the main crew names at that pace, no wonder you couldn't remember side characters.
