Update: My anime club went from 4 people to 40 in one semester

I started a weekly anime discussion group at my college library back in August (it was literally just me and three friends watching old Ghibli movies). Then someone posted about it on the school Discord server and suddenly we had 30 new faces show up for the Attack on Titan marathon. Now we're at 40 people and I had to reserve a whole auditorium instead of a tiny study room. Has anyone else had a club blow up like this out of nowhere?

Started showing up for the "weekly discussion" and forgot I was actually the guy who had to bring snacks every time... now I'm buying bulk popcorn from Costco and my car smells like melted butter permanently. Went from quietly watching My Neighbor Totoro with three friends to having forty strangers debating whether Levi is overrated while I'm just trying to find a seat. The worst part is someone always asks me to explain the lore for Evangelion and I haven't even finished it myself... guess I'm the accidental club leader now.

Are you really complaining about having forty people show up to something you started for fun? I mean yeah, buying bulk popcorn and getting lore questions is annoying, but you went from four dudes in a study room to an actual event. That sounds like a win to me. The Evangelion thing is on you though, people always ask about that show and nobody really gets it anyway.
