The $80 figurine display case I bought shattered when my kid bumped into the shelf last Tuesday

I tried to fix it with super glue but the glass just kept falling apart, so I ended up buying a sturdier one from a local hobby shop for $25 more. Anyone else had luck with acrylic cases instead of glass for preventing this kind of disaster?

Bought an acrylic case after my toddler yeeted a遥控 (remote control) at my glass one. Cracked right down the middle. The acrylic one looks kinda cheap up close but at least it won't shatter into a million pieces. Honestly the scratches bother me more than the glass breaking did. My wife calls it the "scratch-and-dent special". Kids man. They make you rethink your whole decorating style.
