Just had Crunchyroll completely crash during the season finale of my show

I was watching the last episode of Dandadan last night and right at the big fight scene the app just froze and kicked me out. It took like 10 minutes to get back in and by then I had to rewatch the whole thing because I missed the context lol. I'm on the basic $8 plan so maybe that's got something to do with it? Has anyone else had streaming apps die on them at the worst possible moment?

Read somewhere that Crunchyroll servers take a dump whenever a popular show finale airs.
