Just finished a series that took me a literal year to watch
I picked up Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood after hearing about it for ages, but with three kids, finding time was a struggle. It took me from last spring to now to get through all 64 episodes, watching bits here and there. Honestly, the slow pace made the ending hit even harder lol. Anyone have suggestions for another great anime that won't take me another year to finish? I'm kinda burned out on long commitments.

Man, I totally get that! It's like we're all living in this weird time where shows get broken up by real life. I tried to finish a series during my commute last year, and it took months. Does stretching it out make the ending hit harder or just test your patience? For a quicker watch, 'Cowboy Bebop' wraps up in 26 episodes. But man, the way we piece together stories now is its own thing, you know?

Does stretching it out make you forget stuff or just make the big moments feel more earned? I watched Brotherhood over a few months myself (way back when) and letting it breathe between episodes really changed the way of seeing it, for me at least. For something awesome and short, Mob Psycho 100 is a tight 25 episodes total (over two seasons) and it's just a complete, perfect story. It's the best kind of quick hit.
