I realized how much my anime watch list changed after I started reading episode threads
About a year ago, I only watched the big shonen stuff everyone talked about. Then I started reading the weekly discussion threads for a smaller show called 'Heavenly Delusion' on the subreddit. People were pointing out background details and character hints I totally missed. Now, my current list is full of shows like 'Frieren' and 'Apothecary Diaries' that I found because of deep dives in those forums. It's not just about action anymore, I look for shows with stuff to talk about. What's a show you picked up just from reading other people's posts?

Yeah, the part about looking for "stuff to talk about" really hits. I got into 'Odd Taxi' because the episode threads were full of people connecting the dialogue to earlier clues. I never would have caught half that stuff on my own, and it made the whole show way better.

Totally get what you mean, @luna_white93. That show is a perfect example of one you almost need a group for. Reading those threads felt like being part of a detective team, where everyone spots a different piece of the puzzle. It turns watching from a solo thing into a shared project, and you end up appreciating the writing so much more. I had the same experience with a different mystery anime last year, and catching those little clues together made it ten times more fun.
