I finally got my friend to watch 'Monster' after two years of asking

He texted me last night saying the first 10 episodes messed him up and he couldn't stop thinking about Johan. It made me realize how much a show's impact depends on when you see it, you know? Has anyone else had a friend finally watch a show you love and it hit them way different than you thought it would?
