How I accidentally talked my way into a prerelease screening last month

I was at this tiny anime con in Columbus and wandered into a random panel thinking it was about Gundam model kits, but it was actually a focus group for a new streaming service. I just nodded along and pretended I knew what they were talking about, and at the end they handed me a pass to see the first episode of an unreleased show before anyone else. Has anyone else ever bluffed their way into something cool like that or was I just lucky?

My buddy once ended up at a private screening of a new horror movie because he got lost looking for the bathroom at a convention. Walked into the wrong room, sat down, and just stayed quiet through the whole thing. Said the movie was terrible but at least he got free popcorn.
