Cowboy Bebop is way overrated compared to 90s OVAs like Armitage III

I used to be all about Cowboy Bebop back in high school. Had the soundtrack on repeat, thought it was the peak of anime. Then around 2019 I watched Armitage III for the first time and it totally clicked. The cyberpunk feel, the gritty worldbuilding, it just hit harder than Bebop's episodic jazz vibe. Bebop has great style but people worship it like nothing else from the 90s matters. Am I the only one who thinks the OVAs from that era had way more rewatch value?

Ngl, the OVAs from back then had way more edge. Bebop's good but people act like it's the only thing that mattered.
