A random commenter said my pacing was "too slow" and it messed with my whole approach

I was posting about a slice-of-life anime I really love and someone said the first three episodes drag because they focus too much on boring daily routines. Now I overthink every slow scene and wonder if I'm just wasting people's time. Has anyone else here had fan feedback totally shift how you watch or discuss a show?

@ellis.jennifer exactly the same thing happened to me with a slow burn romance, now I second guess every quiet moment.
