That one electrician who refused to let me ground through his panel box

I was doing a residential retrofit in a 1950s house near Portland last month. The homeowner's buddy was an old school electrician who insisted I couldn't tie my alarm panel ground into his box. I stood there for 20 minutes while he argued it would cause interference. Finally he let me show him the manual saying it's fine. Anyone else run into trades who think they know your job better than you do?

Hey @coleman.henry, you ever notice how those same old timers can't even remember to plug in their own laptop half the time? It's funny how they act like they invented coding when they probably still think "git" is something gross. But hey, I guess we all have to be the expert in something even if it's just remembering how to use a mouse.
