That hospital retrofit job changed how I wire every motion sensor now
I was doing a panic button install at St. Mary's in Baltimore last month, and the nurse kept tripping the motion detector because her scrub top was just loose enough to swing. The project manager told me, "You're not mounting for empty hallways, you're mounting for people who move weird at 2 AM." Ever since, I've been angling detectors 10 degrees lower and testing with a coat hanger. Anyone else run into false alarm calls from baggy clothes or is it just healthcare settings?

That coat hanger trick is solid, I've been doing the same thing since a buddy of mine got a callback from a clinic where the janitor's smock set it off every night at 1 AM. Lowering the angle helps but I also started setting the sensitivity to medium instead of high on anything in a break room or hallway. Baggy clothes are worse in medical spots cause everyone wearing scrubs or those loose lab coats, but I've seen it at a school too with hoodies.
