Pro tip: a bad door contact almost cost me a callback in Fresno
I wired a door contact on a storefront last Tuesday and the panel showed faulted as soon as I closed the door. I pulled the contact back off and found the gap was around 1.5 inches, way past what the magnet could read. The door frame was warped from the heat, so I spun the magnet out on a small spacer and got it inside a half inch. Now I check gap on every opening before I button the panel up. Has anyone found a cleaner fix for warped frames besides spacers?
