I thought the new wireless glass break sensors were just hype

Had a job in Spokane last month where the client insisted on them for a sunroom addition. I was sure we'd get false alarms from the wind or something. After 30 days of monitoring, not a single false trip and the range was solid through three walls. Anyone else tried the newer wireless tech for tricky spots like that?

Yeah, I saw a tech blog tear down one of those newer sensors. The article said they use a different kind of microphone and better sound analysis to ignore regular house noises. Makes sense why they'd handle wind or slamming doors better now.

Totally! It's wild how fast "smart" stuff is getting less dumb about normal life. My old doorbell would freak out over a garbage truck, but the new one just chills. Feels like we're finally past the phase where tech was scared of its own shadow.
