A customer told me my wires looked like spaghetti and I had to fix it
I was finishing up a panel in a house in Phoenix last month and the homeowner walked in while I was running the wires. He just looked at it and said 'that looks like a plate of spaghetti.' I was a little annoyed at first but then I looked at it and he was right. So now I take an extra 10 minutes to zip tie everything neat and run wires in straight lines. Has anyone else had a homeowner call them out on something simple like that?

Is it really that big of a deal though? I mean, unless you're leaving loops hanging all over the place and it's a safety hazard, does it matter if the wires are perfectly straight or not? Once the panel cover goes on, nobody's going to see it again. I'd rather you spend those extra 10 minutes double checking your connections or making sure everything is grounded right.

Wait, is this really a hill worth dying on? I mean, straight wires look nice and all, but if they're secure and not gonna cause a short, who cares? I've seen some panels where the wires looked like spaghetti and they passed inspection just fine. Seems like a lot of time wasted on perfection when you could be making sure everything's actually safe.
