Unpopular opinion: composite bonding primer was a gimmick I avoided for years

After a de-icing fluid spill ate through a panel I'd prepped with the old etch primer last March, I finally tried the 3M stuff everybody swore by and that panel is still clean 8 months later, so what old-school product did you have to eat crow on and admit works better?

You know that feeling when you've been stubborn about something for a decade and then realize you were just being dumb? lol That was me and wax. I swore by the old carnuba wax my grandpa used, thought all that synthetic spray-on stuff was snake oil. Then I got lazy one day and used the turtle wax spray wax on my truck and I'll be damned if that thing didn't bead water better than anything I'd ever put on it. My grandpa's ghost is probably laughing at me from the garage.

Call @the_jana crazy but I still say old school carnuba beats anything in a spray bottle. I tried that synthetic stuff once, had to reapply after two washes. Stick with what works.
