Torque wrench calibration drift caught me on a 737 brake job
I was torquing main gear wheels at the hangar in Tucson last month and my Snap-on clicker felt off on the third nut, so I grabbed the digital unit and it read 12 ft-lbs low. Turns out I had dropped that wrench on the floor hard two days back and never checked it, which made me redo all the fasteners I had already torqued that morning. How often do you guys send your torque wrenches out for calibration, and do you do a quick check before every big job?
