That moment a torque wrench I'd used for years clicked at 10 inch-pounds on a snack bag seal during lunch break

I was sitting in the break room at LAX trying to open a bag of chips and my brain just automatically reached for the nearest clicky thing on my hip, and now I can't unhear that sound every time I close a Ziploc full of hardware back in the hangar - has anyone else had their work brain completely take over a normal life moment like that?

c'mon man it's just a chip bag, not like you're torquing down a landing gear bolt. sounds more like you're reading too much into a random brain fart than some kind of work-life merger.

Read something the other day about how your brain forms these shortcuts. Like muscle memory for your job. It just sees a bag that needs sealing and goes straight to the torque setting. Makes sense when you think about it. That crisp click is probably the same feeling as closing a critical fastener. Not a big deal, just your brain being efficient.
