Spent 3 hours tracking down a hydraulic leak that turned out to be a loose O-ring on a Cessna 172 in Tulsa last Tuesday

The drip was so slow it only showed up after running the pump for 20 minutes, and I must have checked every line and fitting twice before I finally grabbed the magnifying glass and spotted the tiny crack in the O-ring - has anyone else had a leak that acted like it was in a totally different spot than it actually was?

Three hours for a loose O-ring sounds like overkill, but I guess you gotta fill the workday somehow.
