Serious question, ever started color-coding your wrench sets?
It ended my mix-ups with metric and standard fasteners.

Saw a post on a tool forum where a guy used different colored spray paint dots on his wrench handles. He did red for metric and blue for standard, just a tiny mark on the end. Totally stole that idea for my own toolbox. The visual cue is instant, way faster than squinting at the stamped sizes. It sounds silly but it actually saves a ton of time when you're under a car. My brain recognizes the color before it even reads the number.

Always thought it was dumb but it actually works.

Has anyone tried color-coding both ends of the wrench? I do a small stripe on the jaw side for metric and a dot on the handle side for standard, so even if the handle is facing down in the dark I know which end to grab first. Works great when you're reaching blind into a toolbox with greasy hands.
