Hit 500 aircraft inspections without a single write-up today

I passed my 500th inspection this morning on a Cessna 172 at our shop near Austin. Five years in and I still get a knot in my stomach every time I sign off. My lead showed me the log and said that puts me at the top for our hangar this year. Anyone else keep track of their personal numbers or just me?

Man, I totally get that knot in your stomach feeling. What worked for me was just taking it one inspection at a time and not counting them until the end of the week.

Haha yeah right? I swear the second I start counting how many I've got left, I jinx myself and somehow fail the next three in a row. @emmajackson is totally right though, that one-at-a-time approach is the only way I don't lose my mind. I even started treating each inspection like its own little game, like "okay can I get through this one without any major notes" and somehow that stupid mental trick actually works for me.
