Cost me 6 hours on a CRJ 200 because I trusted the torque wrench label instead of the cal cert
I was buttoning up a main landing gear change on a CRJ 200 in Grand Rapids and grabbed the 200 ft lb wrench out of the shadow box like always, snapped everything to spec, signed it off. About 6 hours later my lead asked to see the calibration sticker and the thing had expired 3 months prior. Whole job had to be broke loose and re-torqued, and I got to explain to the shift boss why a gear leg got done twice. Now I check the cal tag before I even pick the wrench up. Anybody else got a habit they only fixed after it bit them in the rear?
