Changed my mind about using just any grease on landing gear pins
I was reading an old service bulletin from Cessna last week, and it specified a very narrow temperature range for the grease on the main gear pivot pins. I'd been using a general-purpose moly grease for years, but the bulletin said it could get too stiff in the cold. Has anyone else had to switch greases after finding a specific spec like that?

Service bulletins are just suggestions, not law. My old moly grease has worked fine for twenty years without a single gear issue. Those temperature specs are for brand new parts in a lab, not real world planes that get flown regularly. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It's like people who refuse to update their phone's OS, then wonder why nothing works right anymore. That mindset works until it very suddenly doesn't.
