Tried parchment paper liners and finally stopped burning everything
For months I was convinced that preheating the air fryer was the only way to get crispy food. But every time I'd cook salmon or chicken, the bottom would get this black crust that tasted awful. A buddy at work told me to just drop a parchment liner in the basket and skip the preheat entirely. I tried it last Tuesday with some frozen chicken tenders at 375 for 12 minutes and they came out perfectly golden all over. No more scrubbing the basket and no more burnt bottoms. Anyone else have a simple trick that totally changed their air fryer routine?

Does the food actually get crispy enough without preheating? I've been scrubbing burnt cheese off my basket for months.
