TIL I was overcrowding my air fryer for Months

I used to cram as many chicken wings as possible into my basket, thinking it saved time. Then I did a batch with only 8 wings in my 5.8 quart Cosori and they came out CRISPY in 12 minutes flat. The single layer made all the difference. Has anyone else had a similar aha moment about batch size?

Oh wow yeah that's a super common mistake. Air fryers are really just small convection ovens so overcrowding blocks the hot air from getting all around the food. You need that airflow on every side to get the crust right.

Wait did you notice a difference in how long the inside took to cook too, or was it just the outside getting crispier? Curious if smaller batches actually cook faster all the way through or if it's just the texture.
