That lady at the farmers market who showed me her air fryer corn on the cob trick
I was at the farmers market in Austin about two months ago, picking up some sweet corn from this older woman's stall. She noticed I was looking at her air fryer cookbook she had sitting out, and she grabbed an ear of corn and said "you're overcomplicating this whole thing." She told me she just shucks the corn, rubs it with butter and salt, wraps it in foil, and throws it in her air fryer at 400 degrees for 12 minutes. I tried it that same night and it turned out way better than boiling or grilling ever did for me. The kernels stayed juicy and didn't shrivel up like they do on the grill. She also said she does the same thing with asparagus, just a little less time. Has anyone else gotten a super simple tip from a random person that changed how you use your air fryer?

That old lady's tip sounds like a game changer, way simpler than the hassle of grilling.

You said it's "way simpler than the hassle of grilling," but I'm not sure that's really a fair comparison. Grilling takes maybe 20 minutes of active time, then you're done. This old lady method sounds like it involves thawing, boiling, shredding, and then still wrestling with a hot grill for the final step. That's like three different tasks before you even get to the grilling part. I don't see how that's less hassle than just lighting charcoal and flipping a few patties.
