My mom swore you had to soak fries in water before air frying

She said it was the only way to get them crispy, so I spent an hour soaking and drying potatoes last week. Tried a batch without soaking yesterday and honestly, they came out just as good and saved me a ton of time. I think the key was tossing them in a little cornstarch and not crowding the basket. Anyone have a different method for fries that actually makes a big difference?

Yeah, the cornstarch trick is a game changer. My roommate used to swear by soaking too, but then we found out spraying them with a tiny bit of oil from a mister works just as well for crispiness.
