I don't get the hype about preheating air fryers every time
Last week at my sister's place in Phoenix she made me wait 5 minutes preheating her air fryer before tossing in some frozen chicken tenders. I just chuck mine in cold and they come out perfectly crispy in 12 minutes at 400. Am I missing something or is preheating just extra steps for no reason? Anyone else skip it and still get good results?

Keep chucking them in cold, you're fine. I've done the same thing for a year with wings and fries and they come out perfect every time. The whole preheat thing is just marketing hype to make you feel like you're doing something fancy. If you want extra crispy results just add a minute or two to the cook time instead of waiting around.

Nah. Preheating makes them crispier. Not hype.
