Had to pick between a cheap air fryer and a name brand one last week

I was standing in Target trying to decide between a $40 air fryer and a $80 one. The cheap one was some off brand I never heard of but it looked fine. The name brand one had more buttons and stuff. I went with the cheap one because money is tight right now. Got it home and the first batch of fries came out decent but the second batch burned on one side. Also the basket is super flimsy and hard to clean. I wish I had just spent the extra $40. Has anyone else cheaped out on an air fryer and regretted it?

Spending less up front usually means paying more in frustration later with appliances.

Man, I used to be all about grabbing the cheapest option to save a few bucks. But after replacing a budget washer twice in three years, I finally got it. That initial savings gets eaten up fast when you're calling repair guys or shopping for replacements way sooner than you planned.
