Finally found the secret to crispy tofu in the air fryer without it sticking
I tried 3 different methods over 2 months and kept ending up with rubbery or stuck-on tofu. Then I realized I was skipping the pressing step and not tossing it in cornstarch. Now I press for 30 minutes, cube it, toss with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and spray the basket with oil. It comes out golden and crunchy every time, no more scraping. Has anyone else had a similar breakthrough with tofu or another tricky ingredient?

Have you tried freezing the tofu first and thawing it before pressing to get a firmer texture?

I saw someone post about tossing tofu in nutritional yeast instead of cornstarch for extra flavor, might be worth trying next time.
