Just realized my AI writing assistant has been dumbing down my work for 6 months

I've been using an AI writing tool for my blog posts since January. I compared my posts from before I started using it to last month's posts and the difference was shocking. My older posts had more complex sentences, better word choices, and actually sounded like me. The AI has been flattening everything to a basic level without me noticing. Has anyone else caught their tool making their writing worse over time?

Hang on, are you saying you compared posts side by side and the AI was making changes you didn't approve? Or was it more like it just set a default style that slowly crept in over time? In my experience, these tools have a tone setting somewhere that can get reset with updates, so you might want to check your dashboard. Did you have it set to "professional" or "creative" when you started, and did that change without you noticing?

But is it really the AI dumbing it down, or did you just get comfortable with its suggestions over time? If you were blindly accepting its rewrites without double checking, the tool was basically training your own output to match its simpler style. Go back through your dashboard settings and check if the "creativity" or "complexity" slider got bumped down without you realizing it.
